A Fun Week

It's quarter to midnight on Monday night, and I am blogging for 2 reasons. 1)Wes is still studying and I'm trying to keep busy so that I don't fall asleep, and 2)it's been about 2 weeks since our last post.
Wes works so hard and spends so much time working and studying hard. I really appreciate it. I've been busy with the usual, and things are good. Today was my second attempt at french bread, and it worked out great! I was happy. Baking and cooking when it works out, can be such so rewarding. I guess the least I can do for Wes is cook good food and keep our apartment nice and clean, since he's doing everything else. Hopefully it won't be long before I'll be able to join him!
This week is a fun week because there is a lot going on. Tonight we had FHE with two couple friends from the mission, tomorrow night is a little mission get-together, Friday is our mission reunion, and then Saturday and Sunday is Conference! I love Conference and have been looking forward to it since April. Oh, and Monday is Wes's birthday. He'll be 23, and we'll be the same age for about a month and a half before I turn 24!
Anyways, I'm off to write more thank-you cards and then hopefully to bed before too long. Next time there will be pictures!

You wanted pictures?

So here are some pictures from while we were dating, some engagement pictures, some from this summer, and some from our reception in Oklahoma. As soon as we have some from the wedding, we'll be sure to post them.

This is old...probably in January

Four-wheeling in Montana back in March. We met Brent, Care, Kate, Dan, and Grandma for a few days at the Thomas's house. It was a great trip.

Cal loves this picture of Lincoln.

Just after Cal came back to Provo after being at home for 6 long weeks.

Callie and Yulia-one of the converts Callie taught on her mission. Yulia was here for the summer and this was the fourth of July.

We took Yulia to walk around the Provo temple on a Sunday afternoon back in June.

Callie feeding a lamb. We went up to Garland, Utah for one of our best Jake Madsen's mission homecoming. This was at his house.

at a wedding reception of some mission friends (Jess and Garrett Gee).

Outside of Cafe Rio, one of our favorite places to eat.

Just a couple of the engagement pictures that Caitlin took for us. She did an excellent job! They turned out beautifully.

The next several pictures were taken in a man's yard in Oklahoma. It was amazing!

My favorite recent picture.

Getting started.

So we created this blog a week ago, but forgot to write anything in it. When I just checked it and realized that we now have 1 follower, I figured I better post something. Wes has actually been encouraging me for a few months now to start a blog since I enjoy reading others' blogs so much. Also, now that I am a stay-at-home wife with no work or school, I have a little bit of time on my hands. Though I do love to clean, cook, read, and exercise, it is always nice to add another activity to that list. I want to start scrap-booking again and doing online name extraction. I have also been keeping busy writing thank-you notes from the wedding.
Our little apartment is quite neat and clean, and I've done more cooking and baking in the past few weeks than I have in the past few years. I'm trying to help Wes focus on school as much as he can since he's taking 14 credits and working 20 hours a week. He has class most days at 8 AM, and gets home anywhere between 3 and 6 PM. I'm always SO happy to have company at home, even if we can't talk much because he needs to study. I am thankful that he works so hard and studies so diligently.
Anyways, I know that a few people have requested pictures of the apartment, wedding, etc., so I'll try to keep you somewhat updated on everything here. Until next time!
